Locals supporting locals; it’s how we do business.

Specialist training

We provide employees with ongoing training and access to a range of qualifications for their career development as well as increasing capability within local industry.

This includes supporting our employees with training from the day they join our team. Each employee undertakes comprehensive training relevant to their role, from working around mechanical plant to undertaking international-standard processes in high-risk work environments. Offering trade apprenticeships and upskilling benefits our employees, our clients and local industry.

We believe in career progression for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people

We are committed to increasing the representation of skilled Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our industry through employment, training, mentoring and meaningful career pathways. We support employees in entry level positions through to management and supervisory roles to develop skills and experience with a focus on career progression. These roles provide industry specific development opportunities through experiencing processes of high-risk environments as well as exposure to the vast trades under our management.

Our Reconciliation Action Plan aims to develop relationships through a culture shift, using respectful and purposeful engagement and meaningful participation. We encourage ownership of responsibilities within our RAP and our vision for reconciliation through our people and business.

Together we support a workplace that is culturally safe, rich and proud to enhance growth and opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and our business.

In the community

We are proud to sponsor a range of events and organisations to support our community.

This includes being major partners of the Remote Laundries project, a transformative program to construct and operate public laundries in Aboriginal communities, greatly improving hygiene and helping prevent skin and eye infections, which can develop into life threatening conditions such as rheumatic heart disease (RHD) and kidney disease.

Rheumatic heart disease is a chronic disease that is completely preventable. We believe by addressing the root cause, we will be able to make the biggest impact possible to the health, sustainability and wellbeing of communities across the Territory.
